Yes, Judy, this is bound to be him. Well done and thanks. There is a possibility that he was somehow involved in organizing agricultural workers to protest about conditions in the 1930s, so the fact that he was a farm worker fits. It is intriguing that he was employed on farms; his father was from a farming background, but John grew up in a town in Ireland.
