Hello Nathan,
Since my original posting I have found additional information on Rafael Villa.
Rafael died Feb. 28, 1983 and according to his obit had lived in Morro Bay for the last 21 years. He was born March 8, 1893 in Rosario, Sinaloa, Mexico.
I found a census from SLO for 1870. There were so many Villa's I didn't have time to go through all of them. A great many of the Villa's from that time were ranchers.
I don't know if Rafael is related to the Villa's that you mention. I don't live close to SLO, so maybe I can find their address and write them. Thanks for the info. I wonder if the Villa that your great uncle married is related to my Rafael.
