Thank you for the information about the Jensen family. Even after all this time I have learned very little about this knife or the people involved with it.The story that I have uncovered is that during WWII a drive was begun to furnish soldiers with knives for use in the field. The government did not supply knives to all troops. Hundreds of knives were contributed by all kinds of citizens and sent overseas. Apparently my knife is one of those. This one made its way back to the U.S. The drive was called,"A Knife to Save a Life", or something close to that. So many years have passed now it is hard to find anyone who would remember about it.
Years ago, I wrote an article for "The Nationa; Knofe Collector" magazine describing this item. Even that did not produce any information. Letters to the Stockton newspaper, Library, Chief of Police, and others were never answered. Thanks for your help.
