Found a little info for you in the California death records.

John H. Reedy, b. 21 July 1901 in Mississippi, d. 2 Feb. 1983, San Diego Co., California. SS# 561-10-6346. Mother's maiden name Carter.

Edythe Rose Reedy, b. 26 Jan. 1905 in Arkansas, d. 20 June 1980, San Diego Co., California. SS# 549-46-3538. Father's last name Slaten, mother's Hallock.

Could not find anything in the birth index that matched.
