You might want to obtain a death certificate from the San Diego County Courthouse. It may list the place of interment. I know cemetery location was listed by 1958. If not, you may want to check with Greenwood Memorial Park, or Mt. Hope Cemetery. These are two large older cemeteries that were probably in existance in the 1940's. They are located in central San Diego east of downtown. I know that at Greenwood they keep very good records. However, if Harry lived in North County, or South Bay (Chula Vista area)-he could have been buried somewhere else. There were some small cemeteries in the East County back then, too. Was Harry in the military? There's a big military cemetery too-Ft. Rosecrans, one of the largest in the U.S.
