OK, Oceanside is a good start. Oceanside is in North San Diego Cty. Try the Recorder's Office for a death certificate-I was there last week and they were very helpful to me. After you get the death certificate with a date, also contact the San Diego Union (newspaper) and see if there's an obit. Back in those days, it was relatively small population-wise and the Union often printed obits of people all over the county. Let me know if you need more help.
