My great grandfather was A.K. Cravath, said to be the father of Escondido, where he built the first business block (corner of Grand Ave. and Lime St.), known as the Escondido Bank block which he organized in 1887. He was a member of the first board of trustees and was a prime mover in incorporating the city. This information is from a biographical sketch in the "History of Orange County" by Samuel Armour 1921. Any information concerning A.K. would be appreciated. Any expenses incurred I would gladly pay. My email address is jdge@mciworld.com
Thanks, Jeff Genet.
