Mr. Strombeck.....If you have access to the San Diego Union screen would it be possible to get you to check that screen for record of Grace Gail (or Gail) Stockwell's death in about 1948? It might have been put in the newspaper the early part of 1949. I have had a 20 year or more search for proof of her death with no results. One of her friends who lived in Boston, Mass, wrote her Stockwell family in San Diego telling them about her death on October 12, 1948 in the area of New York. The family in San Diego who received the notice tried to contact the person who sent the message with no results. As I said, I have spent at least 20 years ordering death certificates, having records checked with no results. Grace Gail Stockwell's death cannot be found in any records, but she is definitely died. Since her Stockwell family lived in San Diego, California and, at that time was a prominent family, could her death have been mentioned in the newspaper in San Diego? I have checked cemetery records, etc with no results. I would be very glad to pay for getting the newspaper checked. Bobbie Cardin
