The California Death Index lists the brothers Edward and Charles Kauffman, sons of Catherine Katzung & August Kauffman (Katzung is spelled Katzmund in Edward's info)
Charles Kauffman was b. in IL in the 1860's. He died in San Diego, CA. His obit 11/2/1945 in the Evening Tribune lists his wife Edith, Sister Mrs. M. M. Fritz and niece Mrs. Leslie Smith, San Diego and niece Mrs. Bertha Barnett, San Francisco. I am from the line of the mother of Charles Kauffman, and have been unable to find anyone from the Kauffman line to share info with.
