Basically I'm am looking for contact info for Wm's children and to learn about his life. And I'm trying to figure out how it is that he was "adopted", he was born "William Henry Nobles", but it seems that he has two fathers - a Willam Noble (Wife Ludie), and a Henry Bonner Hopkins (there is a Minnie Winbury connected as well), so I am very confused! And I can't find any adoption records.

Yes, I believe my mother is his child. She was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, 1954. He met my grandmother around 1952/53, at a radio station where they both worked. She got pregnant, they were married in August of 1953. He left 6 months after my mom was born. I can't find any divorce record, but the man my mom calls "dad" adopted her in 1958, so her birth certificate has the adopted name on it, not Wm's.

I believe Wm came to Canada from NC in the early 50's, and left shortly after my mom was born in '54.

I am not familiar with how to search his "stake". That is another part that doesn't make sense to me, as on the marriage certificate to my grandmother, he lists his father as being a minister of Gospel, but on Rita's family tree, Henry Hopkins was a salesman.

As for the British information you have, it sounds very promising as my grandmother always said he went by the name Hank Noble and was a country/western singer. I know there are some things that don't quite fit with the stories my grandmother told me, but it= think there are too many things that do fit to not believe that I have found the correct William H. Noble.

I'm not sure if you can help me or not from this point forward, but I do appreciate the assistance you've provided so far. Also, thank for the info from the British site, that is something new to me.
