Chula Vista Genealogical Society

The Chula Vista Genealogical Society (CVGS) has monthly programs at the Chula Vista Civic Center Branch Library (365 F Street, Chula Vista). Each month there is:

1) Last Wednesday (usually), 12 noon: Program Meeting in Auditorium with a speaker on a genealogical or family history subject

2) Third Wednesday, 11:30 a.m.: Computer Group meeting in the library Computer Lab - hands-on use of computers for genealogy.

3) Second Wednesday, 12 noon: Research Group meeting in Conference Room to discuss research problems and successes.

The CVGS web site ( has up-to-date program notices and monthly newsletter issues online, in addition to a surname list and much more.

CVGS also has a blog, the Chula Vista Genealogy Cafe, at with news and society information.
