I have found a San Bernardino death index for a MICHAEL A NEILAN who died on 19th May 1895 and have been advised that if I send for a SS application for this man it will tell me the names of his parents and exactly where he was born. Does anyone know how I go about getting this? Do I need his Social Insurance number and if so how do I go about finding it?
He was born in Canada but as he worked in the US I would imagine he would have been issued an SIN. Any information would be appreicated
