I am looking for any information on either Gilmore Agnew or Torrens Agnew. Both I believe lived in or around San Benito County/San Francisco in the mid-1850's. Gilmore and Torrens (brothers) both emigrated from Ireland. Their parents were John & Esther Agnew. Gilmore, b.1822, d. 1884 in San Francisco; married to Maria Caldwell (b. 1831). Torrens Agnew, b. 1825, d. 1869 in California. I've learned that there was a Gilmore Agnew, b. 1858, d. 1917 in Hollister, who was a Justice of the Peace. Could he have been Torrens' (Torrens from Ireland) son? I've also learned there was a Torrens C. Agnew, b. 1890, d. 1891. Could this child have been Gilmore's (Gilmore from Hollister) son?
