I am trying to find information on Maria Jacinta Silveira Avila who was born about 1852 in the Azores. All I have for her parents are that her father is M. Silveira & her mother is Maria Jacinto. She had a brother, Joao Silveira Avila, born about 1847, who also came to San Juan Bautista/Hollister and who died in 1894. Maria came to the US about 1870 and married Ignatio Garcia Borba from Santa Luzia, Pico, & they lived in San Juan Bautista, CA. Maria died there in 1909. I have been successful in researching her husband but have found very little on Maria. Does this sound like a possible connection to anyone? Please let me know.
