JOHN HOWARD CARLISLE (1846-1918) M. MARY AGNES LAWSON (1859-1953)about 1875-1880. He was from Missouri & she was from Iowa. They were likely m. in Hollister or Tres Pinos. They lived in San Benito County for many years, but both d. in Santa Cruz. They are buried in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Hollister. There were 5 children from this marriage according to the census. The known children were ALICE N. CARLISLE (1877-1878), AND FRANK JUDD CARLISLE (1884-1961). FRANK CARLISLE m. FRANCIS V. DEVINE (1889-1952)about 1910 and apparently left the County. He died in San Jose. The other 3 children are unknown. There was also a THOMAS J. CARLISLE living in San Benito County about the same time as JOHN HOWARD CARLISLE. Were they related?

The parents of MARY AGNES LAWSON were AARON LAWSON (1827-1915) and SOPHIA C. KENNEDY (1829-1919). They were m. in Iowa and lived in Tres Pinos until their deaths. Both are buried in the I.O.O.F. cemetery in Hollister. Their other children were JUDD, ADA, LILLY, and GEORGE. Thanks for your help.
