Try contacting the library, some of them contain old phone books on microfilm. The State Library on N Street in Sacramento,Ca is one that does. The receptionist would be able to direct you in the right direction. They also have the newspaper from different counties also on film.
Thier web site is www.library.ca.gov
Thier phone number is (916)654-0261
Business hours are M-F 9:30 am- 4:00 p.m
Hope this helps. Vicki Herring
