Polli (Italian family from Illinois)

I sent to following letter to the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Chicago, Illinois. The Polli family lived at one time in Tyrone, Franklin, Illinois and arrived in Sacramento over 80 years ago:

To whom this may concern,

My name is Jaime Cader and I live in the San Francisco, California area.

The reason that I am writing to you is because I want to know about the Polli surname. Are there different Polli families in Illinois? I believe that a Polli family is the biological family of my mother's cousin who was adopted by my great uncle. I believe that she (my mother's cousin) may be the daughter of an Ernestine Polli, who in turn was the daughter of a Mike Polli who was from Italy. Ernestine's mother was also from Italy and her maiden surname was Peretti (Heleana Peretti). Ernestine's siblings were Pete, Joe, John and Lucy. The entire family came to live in Sacramento, California.

My adopted relative once told me that biological relatives of hers (including her mother) tried to contact her about 20 years ago, however her adopted mother who is now deceased did not take well to the idea of a possible communication and never passed on the messages to her adopted daughter.

My adopted relative is now approximately 80 years old and her name is Gloria. She is a widow and has something like five children. She lives in an area about northeast of San Francisco and she was born in Sacramento, California.

If any of this information sounds familiar to you, I'd aprreciate it if you let me know. If you know of any other Italian organization that you can forward this e-mail to, I'd appreciate it if you will forward it to them.

Sincerely,

Jaime Cader
