WEAVER-Henry Adolphus & Fannie Ernestine

Could anyone check the Sacramento papers for obituaries for Henry Adolphus Weaver, d. December 6, 1900 and his wife Fannie Ernestine (Wentworth) Weaver, d. June 29, 1944?

Henry was a printer and owner of the largest publishing house in Sacramento. He owned the Sacramento County Ledger.

Fannie was born November 20, 1860. In 1866, her family sailed from Jonesport, Maine to Jaffa, Israel to establish an American colony. Their goal was to assist in the return of the Jews to the Holy Land. Crop failures, sickness, and a drunken leader led many colonists to return to America. The Wentworths settled in California. Fannie married Henry Weaver. They had three children-James, Henry, and Adelaide. Adelaide married Frank Stepanek. Fannie was living with the Stepaneks in Portland, OR when she died June 29, 1944. The Portland Oregonian ran a death notice but no obituary. I'm hoping the family placed an obituary in the Sacramento papers.

Thank you.

Joe
