HI Janet, yes I would appreciate the help. I am at a total brick wall with my fathers family...
The Galligan's supposedly came from Ireland to Canada to ND then to SD and then on to Illnois. I have written IRAD several times in 3 counties in Illinois looking for my grandfather, they have never heard of him in Will, Grundy, or Cook which is where the family was to have settled.
Thomas Edward GALLIGAN 17 february 1888- 1968 Needles CA. We know all about him after he was married to my grandmother about 1927 I think. My dad, (an only child)
was born 17 dec 1931. He knows nothing about the Galligans except seeing the Uncle you found in the death index. I am grasping at straws.
I found my other grandparents, George SHANNON b:1829 OHIO died 1902 CA.Melinda HEDGES Ill. I just can;'t find George's parents, whom are suppose to have both been born OHIO also.
So frustrating sometimes.

PS my mom is from Tustin/Anaheim area, my great uncle who passed in may was from Magalia, he was the one who got me started with this, and my uncle lives in Lodi.
