Caselrance Purdy (how name is spelled on Placer Co.death certificate) or has been
spelled Cassablanca, Cassbanca or Casspi
Purdy born in 1850 probably Ohio.
Died June 8, 1926 in Auburn, CA.
Had lived for about 30 years in Lincoln.
He is buried in the Lincoln Cemetery on 1st. St, in the Masonic section, no marker.
Name listed as Cass Purdy in the cemetery record.
His son Lewis Earl Purdy, is listed on the death certificate.
The undertaker was M.W.Hogle, Embalmer #834, Lincoln,CA.
I received some information that he might have had property in what was called Hoyt's edition in 1920 time frame.
Any information on this family would be greatly appreciated.
He was my husbands Grandfather and we have hit a brick wall.
Cass Purdy fathers name might have been Stephen(Steven) Purdy.
Thank you.
