To put a positive side on this after all the family scandals which I discovered in my father's paternal and maternal families: When the U.S.Navy were seeking "powder men", or demolitions experts for the "Seebes" or Construction Batalion,in WWII, they came to Nevada City recruiting from the Cornish miners. My father, Everett Harland Robinson, volunteered, and served in the Pacific.
