Thank you for the information. I believe the "Avard BRANER" from Ohio was Alvaro BRAUCHER whom I believe was a first cousin of Orlando's. Orlando's parents were Pierce EVANS and Mary BRAUCHER of Defiance & Henry Co's., OH.

In the 1867 Directory of Bridgeport Twp., Nevada Co., CA it lists:
BRAUCHER, A, miner, Buckeye Hill
EVANS, Orlando, miner, Buckeye Hill

1890 Voter's Reg., Nevada Co., CA
BRAUCHER, Alvaro, 49, OH, Columbia Hill, registered on 5 Nov 1878
