Walter Eugene Tanner was living in Monterey, CA in 1907 where he started the First Baptist Church. He was mentioned in the local newspapers because he seemed to cause controversy. He was in the L.A. Times in December of 1907. The article mentioned that he was in the newspapwers of the San Francisco area(which ones? I do not know). I believe that it was the Monterey or San Francisco newspapers, probably in December. Can anyone help me find the articles? Any help would be deeply appreciated. Thank you so much. Brian
