Winnie, although the SSDI indicates Monterey County as the last address the Social Security Administration had on file for Opal M. Goddard, she did not die in Monterey County. Here is her data from the California Death Index:

There may, however, be an obit in the Salinas Californian if she was a long-time resident of the area. It's worth checking with a library or obit volunteer in San Jose, though, to see if they can help you. Try this link:
