Looking for any relatives of S/Sgt. Albert G. Wackermann of Salinas. Sgt. Wackermann was the ball turret gunner aboard a B-17 bomber stationed at Ridgewell Field, Essex England (381st. Bomb Group). The 381st deployed to England from the U.S. in May 1943. Sgt. Wackermann was killed in action when his plane was shot down near LeMans, France on 4 July 1943. He is buried at the Ardennes American Military Cemetery at Neupre, Belgium.

The son of the pilot of that aircraft is editing a history of the events. I would like to include a biography and picture of Sgt. Wackermann in the final manuscript. I will provide a copy of the work to any person who can make a contribution to this project.

Thank you.
