Hi--I found some more info on Robert Livermore. He was born in Bethnal Green, London, England in 1799. He entered the naval service of Great Britian in 1823 taking part in several notable sea battles. He spent some time on the South American coast in the Peruvian Fleets. Later he entered the merchant marine service and came to Monterey. He settled in the Livermore valley in 1838 and died in 1858. He left a wife and eight children. This info comes from a book written in 1893 called the history of Alameda County. If you would like a copy of the text, let me know. Good Luck, Sharon
