I finally found George Streeton in the 1930 Los Angeles census. At ancestry.com census records he is indexed as George Hector and declares he is divorced.Other sites with census indexes may have it differently. For the record it is in ED 19-6, Sheet 21A, line 6 (which is immune from any indexing error.)The 1926 LA City Directory shows Rana aka Eugene listed as Brownie B Streeton with a different residence address from George W Streeton so they likely were separated at that time as George's address (1626 Cerro Gordo) is the same as that of his mother and father and agrees with that given in the 1930 census under Hector family.
There is an interlocutory decree between Eugene and George W Streeton on 7-26-1928 which means divorce wasn't final until at least 1 year later.Eugene was the plaintiff, so this was a relatively short marriage.
