Dorothy Sinnott, lived with her family on King Street. Dorothy's Irish immigrant father, Nicholas Sinnott, was a sawyer at the old San Vincente Lumber Mill up the coast. Her mother, Maude Thorpe Sinnott of San Jose.

Nicholas Sinnott, Long Time Local Lumberman, Dies
Nicholas A Sinnott, 83, long time Santa Cruz lumberman, died yesterday at his home, 1919 Bay St, after a long illness.
Born in County Wixford, Ireland, Sinnott came with his family to California in 1874. He worked as a sawyer for 57 years in Pacific coast lumber mills.
He came to Santa Cruz in October 1928 to work at the San Vicente Lumber company where he remained until his retirment in 1947.
The husband of the late Anna Maude Sinnott, who died in 1944, he is survived by five children, John T Sinnott, Marjorie Dellamonica, and Dorothy A Winterhalder of Santa Cruz, Morton J Sinnott of Los Angeles, and Nick M Sinnott of Eureka. He was the father of the late Maurine A Sinnott. Other survivors are a sister, Gertrude Matthews of San Francisco, 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Last rites will be held from the Wessendorf mortuary at 8:45 a.m. Thursday, thence to Holy Cross church where at 9 o'clock a requiem mass will be celebrated for the repose of his soul.
Burial will be in the Holy Cross cemetery.
