You have two very different questions. One involves a living person, which is a problem because a public discussion tracing her life is an invasion of her privacy (not intended to be invasive, I know).
The second question needs clarification. You want "any help" regarding Robert Patterson b 1825 in Scotland, yet clearly you have done much research and compiled a lot of information already. Volunteers can't tell where your gaps are.
J. Clay, the living person, has 16 great-great grandparents. You already know which one Robert is. That's an example of your prior knowledge, which would be useless for a volunteer to duplicate.
So, I suggest you post transcriptions of all your records about Robert, add all the information you can (you made a great start!) and clarify what is your question.
Hope this advice helps you get responses that further your good work, rather than merely duplicate it.
All good wishes
