Greetings: My adoptive fa descends from Roque Jacinto deCOTA who was a soldier in the Poblodores escolta to found the city of Los Angeles. Don't have much beyond Roque's family, but have the main direct line from Roque to my fa, Leonard Joseph COTA b 1925/Los Angeles. He also descends from another COTA family that migrated circa 1850 to Old Town San Diego, Jose Maria COTA and his wife, Monica PENA. Have had little luck in tracing this COTA family from Baja CA Norte.
