Hi Carl, While I was at the library I made copies of William Alva Parker, Miller & James Parker...I checked the CADeath index after I came home and found where Richard & John died...I can check the Merced Sun Star for there obits on my next trip to the library if you think it will help...also their mother died Dec 26, 1980..if you want me to add her obit let me know. Merced Sun Star, Merced, CA., March 3, 1952, page 3 William Parker Of Le Grand Dies William Alva Parker, 67, of Le Grand, died Sunday morning in a local hospital of natural causes after a long illness. He was born May 3, 1884, in Harrison, Ark. Parker married Wenona A. Miller in 1911. He came to California from Phoenix, Ariz., in 1937. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Phoenix and Central Presbyterian Church of Merced. Surviving him are the widow, Mrs. Wenona A. Parker; four sons, Richard B. Parker, and James W. Parker, all of Le Grand, and John M. Parker of Merced; four sisters, Mrs. Pebble P. Frew, Mrs. Lydia P. Archer, Mrs. Don P. Mitchell, and Mrs. Eula P. Murphy, all of Phoenix; and four grandchildren, Loren William Parker, Mary Emma Parker, Rena Lynn Parker snd Timothy Johnnie Parker. Services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. inthe Ivers and Alcorn Mission Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Earle R. Harvey officiating. Parker services Thursday Le Grand - Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in Central Presbyterian Church in Merced for a longtime Le Grand almond grower James William Parker, who died today in a Merced hospital at the age of 63. Rev. Stephen Roosa will officiate and burial will be in Plainsburg Cemetery under the direction of Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Chapel. Mr. Parker was born June 17, 1916 in Harrison, Ark. He moved to California in 1939 upon graduating from the University of Arizona. A deacon at Central Presbyterian Church and a member of the California Farm Bureau, Mr. Parker was a board member of the Le Grand Elementary School District for 16 years. He was a veteran of World War ll. Surviving are his wife, Jayne Parker, Le Grand; two sons, William, Merced, and Richard, Le Grand; a daughter, Jean Parker, Merced; his mother, Wenona Parker, Merced; three brothers, Richard, Le Grand, and Miller and John, both of Merced and one grandchild. Civic Leader Miller Parker killed in accident. Miller Alva Parker, well-known Merced businessman and community leader, was killed Saturday when his car was hit by a pickup truck about five miles southeast of Merced. He was 74. Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Plainsburg Cemetery. The Rev. Charles Hoffmeister, chaplain of Merced Community Medical Center, will officiate. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Merced's Central Presbyterian Church. Friends may visit the Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Chapel Tuesday from noon to 9 p.m. Mr. Parker was a member of the Central Presbyterian Church, Merced Art League, Merced Regional Arts Council, Merced College Foundation, Merced County Historical Society, the city's Goldman Committee and the Society of California Accountants. He also served on the Merced Design and Review Commission and the Merced Symphony Association Board of Directors. Mr. Parker grew up in Phoenix, Ariz., and attended Phoenix Union High School and Arizona State University in Tempe. He moved to Corcoran in 1933. During World War ll, Mr. Parker served with the Army from 1942 to1945. He was assigned to Ninth Headquarters in Europe and was discharged with the rank of master sergeant. Mr. Parker is survived by two brothers, Richard B. Parker of Le Grand and John M. Parker of Merced. He was preceded in death by a brother, James W. Parker, who died in 1979.
