In 1918-1919, there was a world-wide "Spanish Flu" epidemic, where millions of people died. People died so fast, and so many people died, that the municipalities and churches didn't bother with normal procedures and burials and records. People were just buried whereever and whenever, to avoid another epidemic like cholera from the dead bodies. Entire families were decimated. That could be why the records are so poor, whenever you are dealing with that decade, and you can't find records, think "flu epidemic" and go from there. Notify Administrator about this message?
