I have info on the Meranda family, living on the coast from the early 1900's to date. George Austin Meranda was born in Harrison Twp.,Mercer co.,mo.andcame to Calif. when still a small boy.He married Laura Simpson,(who was born in the Arizona terratory,Feb.27,18--) They had five children.Marvin was killed at Pearl Harbor.
Veda died of mushroom poisoning when she was in her 30's (she left four sons).Marjorie who has been lost to us for decades, she married a Mason. Elsie who died in 1970's.
She had one son and one daughter.(she married a Verki). George Henry Meranda who married Maude Josephine (McCarty) Crull. (Her 1st husbands name was Charles McCarty of Omaha, Ne.) They had two children that were raised on the coast. The son: Mathew George Meranda, who was married three times,and still lives on what is left of the original homestead with his third wife Jo Ann Cameron (Lindsay) Meranda. And a daughter Donna May Meranda (Tomasi)(Allen).
she had four sons. she died of canser in Ukiah,Mendocino co.,Ca. in 1988.I do have a lot about the family but would like help filling in the gaps!!!thanks. Jo
