Marion Anderson, born about 1831-33 in Loudoun County VA, first appears in the medocino census in 1870, unmarried. In 1880 he appears in the Ventura census married to Mary (born about 1857 in CA) with a one-year-old William and a new baby unnamed. Does anyone there have a Marion and Mary Anderson in their family histories who would fit this profile?
