I'm searching for information about Daniel Lambert Rhoads who was born sometime between 1834-37 in Indiana. I know he owned a farm near Hopland, I have copies of the Federal Government land records where he patented the land.

His wife was Mary Ann (Rhoads) Copple whom he travelled back to Missouri to marry in 1873, and I have a lot of information about her family history, but would love to know more.

I've found Daniel in the 1860, 70, 80, and 1900 California censuses, but can't find anything about him earlier than that either in California or Indiana. I've also found a lot of information about him in the Great Register for Mendocino County.

His daughter was Georgia A. Rhoads and she married Jay Fosgate from Minnesotta. These were my great grandparents. He also had a son named James L.

Does anyone have any idea of who Daniel's parents are, and anything more about him?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
