not sure if this would help or not, there was a Robert Fish in Ahwahnee/Oakhurst, 4/17/21-3/8/95
Fish isn't that common of a name, and Oakhurst is fairly close to North Fork, both in Eastern Madera County.
I've included his obit here in case it casts some light on possible family connections.

Funeral services for Robert Ashton Fish, 73, of Ahwahnee were held Monday, March 13, at Sierra Pines Church.
Mr. Fish died March 8.
He was a native of Illinois and a US Air Force World War II veteran. He was a self-employed machinest for 38 years.
He is survived by his wife, Edith; one son, Robert of Lancaster; five daughters, Edith Wilson of Fresno, Marie Montgomery of Arizona and Adele Emery, Lelie Eppstein and Debbie Fish all of Visalia; 18 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Sierra Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
