John and his wife Alpha O.(Whisman) Mitchell moved to Madera County from Oregon sometime shortly after 1880. They had 4 children, Gertrude, Erma, Grover, and Andrew.
What I need to know is did John divorce Alpha and if so when? She married Arthur Lee Hambleton in 1901.
Also, did John die in Madera? And, if so,when and where was he buried?
Alpha died Oct.12 1929 in Madera and is buried in Arbor Vitae Cemetery, Madera.
