Howdy,
I'm Stephen Kent Walker, and I'm Clara's 1st Cousin, Twice removed of the husband and 3 times removed of the husband. Near as I can tell, it has something to do with Amanda Denney and Lee Wilson Denney being married and 1st cousins. Anyhow, that's not the topic of discussion here. Floyd Robert Denney was born July 28, 1905 in Stonewall, Smith County, Tennessee and died January 16, 1969 in Stockton, San Joaquin County, California and yes, he is buried in Arbor Vitae Cemetery, Madera, Madera County, California. He married Clara Blanche Henderson on December 25, 1925 in Fresno, Fresno County, California. She was born on December 25, 1908 in Fresno, Fresno County, California and died June 25, 1966 in Madera, Madera County, California, and she too, is buried in Arbor Vitae Cemetery, Madera, Madera County, California. Floyd was a Forest Ranger.
They had four (4) children:
Constance Denney b. June 27, 1926/Madera, Madera County, CA and d. July 04, 1926/Madera, Madera County, CA
Beverly Jean Denney b. November 30, 1927/Madera, Madera County, CA and married Herbert Martin Hicks on march 04, 1950 at Carmel-by-the-Sea, Monterey County, CA. She is still living.
Ronald Neil Hicks b. September 03, 1929/Madera, Madera County, CA and d. June 16, 1983/Raymond, Madera County, California. He committed suicide.
Delbert Lee Denney b. August 26, 1932/Madera, Madera County, CA. I know nothing else on Delbert.
Ronald and my mother, besides being cousins, were good friends too.
Floyd was the son of my great-grandfathers brother.
