I am not related to your family. I noticed you wrote that Florence and Janette were in Chowchilla June 1953.

Have you tried working the Clifford Cavanaugh angle? If you check CA Deaths you will see one Clifford Cavanaugh d. San Diego, CA a few months after Janette's birth.

If you go to www.ancestry.com and run Clifford Cavanaugh you will see a family profile listed that includes a first marriage for him and then a second marriage to an unk woman with one unk child. Perhaps you should contact the submitter and see if you can put two and two together. The submitter confirms that he is the same Clifford Cavanaugh who died in San Diego County a few months after janette's birth in 1947.
