I hope someone here can help me. I am searching for a William "Willey" Moody who was born June 25, 1886 ~possibly~ in Red Bluff, CA or area of Merrillville, Lassen Co., CA. This William would have been a son of Ellen Hocsy (cannot read her maiden name but that is what it looks like). I have Very good reason to believe that Willey's father William H. Moody who was in the Civil War in and took a "spent ball" to his left foot (per records from NARA), may be the son of my 3rd grt. grandfather Joseph D. Moody.
What are the odds of TWO William Moody's both from MA/ME being in the Red Bluff, CA area at the same time during the 1880's? I think very slim to none. If anyone has any info about these folks, I beg you to Email me with any info.
