Hi there,

I am researching the lineage and descendants of Alexander L. Ritchie (born Nov 11, 1806 in Nova Scotia, died October 15, 1870 in Nova Scotia) m Mercy (or possibly Marcy) Merub Wilcox (born October 10, 1808 in Nova Scotia, reportedly died February 20, 1902 in ?California?), possibly a daughter of Stephen Wilcox and Elizabeth Rolfe. The Wilcoxes may have been American Revolutionary War Loyalists or the descendants of Loyalists.

Their children:

1. George I Ritchie (born in Nova Scotia, died in Kings County, California) married Ellen Garvey.

2. Jeannette Ritchie (born 1838 in ?Cheverie, Hampshire County?, Nova Scotia)

3. Stephen Alexander Ritchie (born March 24, 1844 in Nova Scotia, died May 30, 1921 in Hanford, Kings County, California)

4. Isaac Andrew Ritchie (born May 21, 1846 in Hants Co, Nova Scotia, died January 30, 1931 in Grangeville, Kings County, California) married Sarah Emma C. Jeffrey July 1, 1875 in Tulare County, California.
