Ethel Perry of Humboldt County was my Grand Mother. She was born in Illinois and came to Blocksburg with her family as a young girl in the 1880s. First she married a Benjamin Ward and had 4 children before Ward died. Then she married Frederick Smith and they had my Father Frederick R Smith and she shortly divorced Smith and married a Jensen (first name unknown) and had no children by Jensen, My father was raised with Jensen and sometimes dad was referred as Freddy Jensen in school.

There are several generations of her Ward children and there are also decedents of the Perry's, many living in Humboldt County Ca. I have a son and daughter and a grand daughter and grand son all living in Eureka. Edith Ethel Jensen passed away in April 1921. You can find a lot of this on Also Blocksburg Calif has a nice web site and there was a Albert Perry mentioned on it.

The Ward children were Charlie, Frank, Nora and Myrtle. I visited Aunt Nora when she lived on Price Creek south east of Ferndale. That would have been in the early 50s. Do you have any information that you can share with us?
