Is there anyone who could possibly volunteer to do headstone photos for me? I live in Kansas and have no way of getting to California, although i would love to go there.
My 2 great grandpartents are buried in the Ferndale
Cemetery, Humbolt County they are:
Hiram Chase b. 1829 d. 1887 -full name Hiram Baruch Chase
Almira Chase b. 1836 d. 1910 married in 1853
They have several children and probably daughter and
son- in laws and grandchildren buried there also:
1. Laura (Chase) Payton b. 1855 d. 1895, who married
Jacob Payton- I know Laura is suppose to be there
but i don't know about Jacob, their children were
Charles Edgar and Earl James Payton. I know the
children are suppose to be there also.
2. Elmer Frank Chase b. 1871 d. around 1934 and his
wife Maud Josephine (Woolridge) Chase.
They had several children and i am not sure where
they are buried at
infant chase
Charles Raymond Chase
Leslie Payton Chase
Leland Chase
Frank Elmer Chase
Then their is the next son of Hiram and Almira, his
name is
3. William H. Chase b. 1867 d. 1889 I don't know who or if william was married.
I would love to here from any Chase's living there. They are probably related.
