Thank you for that info. I had contact some years back with a descendant of Lewis Reneau, but they had no proof of Ellen being a daughter, and the fact is that Burril had a daughter named Ellen in his HH in 1850, who md. in MO and lived mid west all her life. It did not seem feasible he'd have two daughters named Ellen, but I suppose that is possible.
Where the decendants of Amasa came up with this connection interests me very much. I'll keep digging.
