You may have much of the below already. When you post, identify what you already have, otherwise you'll get a lot of volunteer time in research and typing for what you may already have. If you have an online family tree, post the link, that helps volunteers fully identify who you seek and what you may have.
I am posting to correct information provided, and to add. I hate to submit information that is not backed up as it tends to take time for the original poster to prove it was wrong:
The California Death Index 1905-1929
Charles J. Hulst, died 8/18/1920, age 33, Fresno county.
So disregard ALL of the findings on him after his World War I Draft Registration as provided. The Blanchard/Hulst marriage in 1966 could not be correct just based on age of the Charles (born about 1908).
The Marjorie J. Hodson divorce from William H in 1978 cannot be the correct person, the name is wrong, the time-frame is wrong.
The WWI Draft Registration Card Image database:
Charles was living in Lindsay, CA (Tulare County).
Charles was married. He supported four children under 12.
His claim of exemption: "Dependent Children."
He was tall, slender, gray eyes, black hair, no disabilities.
He registered as required for his age on June 5, 1917 (National Registration Day), in Lindsay.
The 1920 Census for Fresno, Fresno Co, CA, enumerated 6 January.
Helen Hults(sic), 30, born in CA to both parents born in United States, Manager/Grocery Store, renting on 428 O. Street.
Margerey(as transcribed), female, age 4 11/12, born in CA
Dorthey(as transcribed), 4 11/12
William, 3 0/12
George, 3 0/12
Victor Stokes, 18, nephew
Mary ?, servant, 67?, born in Indiana, to father born in Germany, mother in Ohio.
--The image on Ancestry.com is unreadable, I used the one on Heritage Quest.
--The age of Helen and her parentage is off; but in the US Census enumerations mistakes are common. Either the enumerator transcribed the wrong information, or was given the wrong information. In this case, MY speculation only, her information may have been given by the nephew or servant.
--Charles is not in the household; but per the CA Death Index had not yet died. Because Helen is the Grocery Store Manager and having young children at home, again MY speculation, Charles may be very ill or otherwise not around by choice or incapacitation.
The 1920 also had a George W. Hulst in Fresno, 39 (about 1880/1881) in Minnesota to both parents born in MN, labor/construction.
--A William Hulst died 1/24/1929, age 47 in San Mateo County.
The 1930 Census for Fresno, enumerated April 2nd.
Helen, age 37, born in CA to both parents born in CA. Cook/Own Restaurant. Owning at 438 O Street (there is a word above the "438." There is also another listing for 438, so it might have been a separate house at the same number).
The 1930 Census also shows George W. Hulst, age 45, born in Minnesota, to father born in New York, mother in Minnesota, living in Sacramento, CA. Single, living as a lodger in a large lodging house or hotel. Employed as "Sack Server?/Agriculture.
The 1935 News article concerning divorce of Dorthy, her name is spelled Egusquiza, as is Lorenzo's.
