Mountain Democrat Placerville, El Dorado, Calfornia 31 Oct 2007 Leo Frank Thomas Dec. 24, 1923 - Oct. 25, 2007 Leo Frank Thomas of Shingle Springs, Calif., born Dec. 24, 1923, died Oct. 25, 2007, due to natural causes. Leo was a business owner, retiring from Austin Security Patrol in 1995. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II until receiving an honorable discharge. He was a member of Sir Francis Drake Masonic Lodge in South San Francisco. He knew the true meaning of “cowboy up” and always loved riding horses and camping with his daughters, fishing with his brothers and grandsons and kidding with his granddaughters. He was loved. Leo was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Annabel Mae Thomas; his parents, Leo Oliver and Lena Thomas; and three brothers, Bobbyjack, Don and Jim. He is survived by his sons, Scotty Ford and Terry Thomas; daughters, Sharon Woodcock and Nancy Boswell; his brothers, John Thomas, Dick Thomas, Harold Thomas and Doug Thomas; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Nov. 1, at Green Valley Mortuary in Cameron Park. Larry George will officiate the services. Interment will be held at Camellia Lawn Cemetery in Sacramento.
