Mountain Democrat Placerville, El Dorado, CA Saturday 18 Mar 1948 Georgetown Lady Answers Call Widow of Frank H. Irish Was Veteran Rebekah And Charter Member of N. D. G. W. Services were held Wednesday, at the Methodist Church at Georgetown for Mrs. Irene May Irish, 79, widow of Frank H. Irish and a native of Georgetown, who passed away Monday in Placerville. Services were conducted by George A. French, lay minister. Interment was at Georgetown Cemetery. Mrs. Irish was a charter member of Georgetown parlo of the Native Daughters of the Golden West and had been a member for fifty years in the Georgetown Rebekah lodge. A native of Georgetown, Mrs. Irish was the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth Hotchkiss who were pioneers of 1852 and lived all her life in the home in which she was born. She was married to Mr. Irish in 1887 and he passed on two years ago. Mrs. Irish was the mother of C. H. Irish of Oakland, Mrs. Julia Williams of Redding and Harold Irish of Wilton.
