I am a volunteer with the Wahoo Family Network, and seeking family and friends of the submariner, Jesus Chargualaf MANALISAY. The USS Wahoo (SS-238) a WWII sub that went missing Oct 1943 in northern Japan. The sub has been discovered. We wish to share the news.

Jesus Chargualaf MANALISAY, entered the service from Guam and listed his Hometown, Merizo. Next of Kin: Mr. & Mrs. Juan Castro Manalisay, 66 Rosario St., Merizo, Guam.
Census: 1930-Guam, Merizo, Merizo. List the following. MANALISAY: Juan C., 29y; Carmen C., wf. 28y; Jesus C., son 8y; Jose C., son 7y; Maria C., dau. 5y; Joaquin C., son 3-4/12; Manuel C., son 2-11/12; Ann C., dau. 1-3/12; ESPINOSA, Ignacia C., mom-in-law, 55y.
CA Death Index: Manalisay, Jose Chargualaf (1922, Guam - 1993, Contra Costa Co. Last res. San Pablo. I believe he is the one buried at Golden Gate Nat. Cem., in San Bruno, San Mateo Co., CA.
Chamoru Civilian Casualties: Jesus C. Manalisay. Died as result of enemy occupation & liberation of Guam. Dec 1941-Aug 1944.
