Hello - Caroline "Connie" Henderson Allen was a sister of my great grandmother. I have census records showing her and her husband in Colusa Township (but not in the town) in 1900, and showing vaoline in Colusa City (around 5th and Oak) in 1910. I have found both of them in the California death index (John died Jan. 1906 and Caroline died November 1913). I do not know where they are buried.
Their known children are: John (b. 1865), James C (b. 1867), Ulysses S G (b. 1869), Fanny E Allen Turman (b. 1872 and probably died before 1910 - not found after 1900), Frank (b. 1873), William (b. 1877), Annie (b. 1882), and Mabel (b. 1885).
Through Fanny, John and Caroline had a grandchild, Hosea B Turman, who was living with Caroline at the 1910 census (he is in the Californ Death Index, died in 1978 in Oakland).
By the 1910 census, three of the children had died.
James C., Annie and Mabel were living in Colusa County with John and Caroline at the 1900 census. At the 1910 census, James C was living with Caroline in Colusa City.
Any information or suggestions would be appreciated.
