siblings : Virgil S. Forsythe b. 1888 - d. 1942
John Homer Forsythe b. 1891 - d. 1959
Viola Forsythe (Smith) b. 1893- d. 1962

Then I found Beth Forsythe ( I think I said earlier that she was Virgil's daughter- you check) listed in the Williams High School graduating class of 1938. Also in that class was Jack Forsythe who might be John Homer Forsythe's son. I mistakenly wrote ( Jack) by John Homer's name last time. Beth had a sister Claire, but I haven't found more about her yet. I will go over the graduating classes again to see. In the school graduation pictures there is also a Max Forsythe graduating in the class of 1929. I don't know how he connects.
The tragic events I referred to probably occurred 1951 and later, so your uncle probably wasn't there.

The newspapers for the area are : " The Williams Farmer," or " The Colusa Sun Herald". The Farmer no longer exists. The Colusa Public Library has many of the old newspapers in its collection. You might be able to get a local person through the colusa gen web site to do some research for you. Let me know how it goes. If I get there this year I will search.
